As displayed in this image, Poikiloderma of Civatte is displayed as redness on the neck and the "v" of the chest in fair-skinned individuals. The red areas have prominent hair follicles creating a "chicken-skin" appearance. This skin discoloration, due to chronic sun damage, has lacy areas of redness from dilated blood vessels. This image displays an extensive area of poikiloderma of Civatte, caused by sun damage, next to an unaffected, less-exposed area under the chin.
