The finger webspace area is the small piece of skin that connects the bases of fingers. It can be the site of an irritant contact dermatitis or allergic contact dermatitis if exposed to certain chemicals or allergens. The one condition that has a particular affinity for the finger webspace area is scabies. This parasite infection is often concentrated at the webspace of the fingers and causes a very itchy, raised rash. Scabies most often affects children but can be very contagious and can spread from child to adult.
