Click the pictures below to see information about conditions involving the feet in adults. There are dozens of conditions that can affect the feet. Different parts of the feet are prone to different problems. Please see the other pages for specific parts of the feet (eg, toes, nails, sole) for many of these conditions. Some diseases can involve the whole foot. Typically chronic rashes or skin conditions such as psoriasis or dyshidrotic dermatitis will involve large parts of the feet. Chemical exposure can cause an irritant contact dermatitis or allergic contact dermatitis. The feet can also be a site of skin cancer due to sun exposure. New skin changes or growths should be seen by a physician.
