Adult :: Male :: Foot
The page below contains links to information about the many conditions that can occur on the foot in adults. Conditions that affect the whole foot are varied. Chronic skin conditions such as psoriasis or dyshidrotic dermatitis can involve large parts of the foot. Occasionally, a skin infection called cellulitis can develop that may affect the entire foot. This infection can be the result of bacteria invading through skin damaged by a previous injury or even from athlete's foot. This infection can spread rapidly and requires a physician to treat it. Like any other sun-exposed area of skin, the foot can develop skin cancer. Any new growths or skin changes should be evaluated by a physician. Please see the pages devoted to specific parts of the foot (eg, toe, sole, nail) for even more information.
