Adult :: Male :: Sole
Here you will find pictures and links to information about conditions that affect the soles of the feet. Any abnormal thickening of the soles will often cause discomfort. Corns and calluses are cause by friction and irritation. If these conditions are caused by shoes, they will often lead to uncomfortable pressure points on the feet. Plantar warts are flat warts that will affect the soles of the feet. These warts can also cause unsightly or tender spots on the feet. Athlete's foot, the most common foot infection, will often involve the sole. Pitted keratolysis is another uncomfortable condition that causes the skin of the sole to break down and can lead to unpleasant foot odors.
